I just finished hanging a show of artistic wedding images at the hair salon Mad One Jacks at 92 Madison Street in Hoboken. I am very excited to show these images on such a large scale and on various materials such as gallery wraps, metal prints and stand out mounts as well a framed pieces.
The images feature mostly Hoboken couples as well as local venues such as the W Hotel in Hoboken and the Liberty House in Jersey City. Some of my favorite images are the Groom with cigar lying in tub with his black converse sneakers, same sex couple dancing in the middle of Central Park with black hats, Bride & Groom admiring each other from different stories on the stairs at the W Hotel, and a Hoboken Bride climbing up the fire escape.
See some images below.

The above image is printed on aluminum and looks really cool.

This past month I began taking acting classes in New York City. It’s been many years since I have performed and I do miss it. I began working on scenes and it has been fun. The hardest part is learning the lines. So here are some images I wanted to share of acting headshots I have taken. I love working with actors they are such a spirited bunch!

Hoboken Actor Headshots
This is one of my favorite images that I have created during a maternity session. While preping for the next image, I turned back and saw him looking at her like this and just had make this photo.

While the mom is often the focus of a maternity session, I welcome the new Dad’s presence in the session as it often injects extra creativity.

A couple months later and here they are with their new baby! Congrats!
Below is another maternity image I like a lot. It was taken in the fall along with the fall colors and the breeze.

Marie Papp Photography was included in New Jersey Bride’s Favorite Photographers in the Spring 2012 edition. Please see my image below. It was so nice to be included as a favorite. Thank you!

Surprise your significant other with a Baby or family portrait. We are running a special in February. Call the studio to book your session.

Michael & Larissa’s First Dance at Crystal Springs Resort.

Larissa’s Hair by Elements & Reflection Spa and make up by Jillyan of Skinbar and Paint. Larissa looks stunning!

The couple had a Ukranian Catholic ceremony at St. Andrew’s Ukranian Catholic Church in Hamburg, New Jersey. I love all the colors.

Event planner, Nina Hoffer made sure everything went smoothly. Thanks, Nina.

I have never seen such unique place cards before. Love them! The Bride Larissa designed the invitation, menu, placecards, and program. She is a designer and owns tribecadesigns.com. Nice job, Larissa.

The room looked so elegant. Here’s a detail of the menu.

I had so much fun with this couple. Victor’s sneakers added a cool element so I thought I would put him in the tub. Love it when my couples are game for something different!

Jennifer
Jennifer looks so elegeant. Love her hair and makeup. Paul Salgado of Genesis Salon of Hoboken did Jennifer’s Hair and Jeannie Scalera from Chanel at Bloomingdales Short Hills did the makeup. Jennifer’s elegant Silaba dress from Pronovias.

Bridal Party at Liberty House
The chess peices from the Liberty House added a fun touch to the bridal party images.
Flowers by Laura Clare. Laura also created the signs on the couple’s chairs.

Victor and his friends sharing cigars in front of the NYC skyline.

I love photographing headshots. There is something special about bringing out the aliveness in a person and capturing it in a photograph. Seeing the beauty in someone is very gratifying. Here are some head shots that I’ve done the last few weeks.
